Sending a message

Synco allows you to send messages to specific people and groups.  Follow these simple steps to start communicating with your team in Synco.

 

Send a New Chats Message

Synco allows you to send a new message to a specific user via Chats.  Chats are quick, one-to-one messages, similar to texting.  Here, you can have an ongoing discussion with a team member that includes different work-related topics, property images, and voice notes.  

 

1. Compose a New Chat Message: Click the blue New Chat button in the top left corner of your left hand navigation.

2. Select Team Member(s): After clicking New Chat, Synco will open a new conversation, with your cursor in the "Send to" box. Begin to type the person's name, and you will see a dropdown that matches your typed criteria. Select the individual(s) you would like to message. The conversation will update to your ongoing discussion once you choose the team member. NOTE:  Before typing the message, you have the option to name the Chat or leave it blank.

3. Create Message & Send: After selecting your team members, navigate your cursor to the Type Message box at the bottom of the popup window. Type the message you would like to send.  And once finished hit Enter or click on the blue Send button in the bottom right (you can customize your Enter settings via your My Profile User Settings).  NOTE: To Pin a Chat to your homepage, visit our Pinned Conversations article.

Send a New Threads Message

Threads are topic-based conversations involving distribution groups, such as a group for a property (@301Ocean), a project, or department (@leasing or @accounting). Here, you can have a topic-related discussion with a team that can be filed via tags.

 

1. Create a New Thread Message: Click the orange New Thread button in the top left corner of your left hand navigation.

2. Select Group(s) and User(s): A popup window will appear for your new conversation. Your cursor will populate in the body of the message. You can select your distribution group or users by typing the @ symbol and the name of the Group or people. Select the appropriate Group. NOTE: After typing in the @ symbol, a drop down menu will appear with your team members and distribution groups. The drop down selections will update based on what you are typing. Once you are ready, select the Group.

3. Compose Message & Tag: Once you have selected your Group(s), type your message and click the Send button. NOTE: Synco auto generates a subject line for your Thread conversations via SyncoAI. Any members of this conversations can edit the subject line as the discussion progresses.
