# Enable Push Notifications & Badges for Synco

## Setting up your app's badge count and implementing push notifications are both effective ways to enhance user engagement on desktop and mobile.

### **Push Notifications for iPhone & iPad:**

 

**1. Settings:** From your phone's home screen, open your Settings app.

**2. Synco App:** Scroll down your settings to your list of applications and select the Synco app.

**3. Push Notifications:** From your Synco settings screen, select Notifications. Toggle Allow Notifications on (should be green). We also recommend that your Sounds and Badges are toggled on, as well. **4. Badge Notifications:** To make sure you never miss any important messages or conversations, it's important to have your badge count turned on. To enable badges, open your **Settings** menu on your device. Locate the Synco app and tap on **Notifications**. From there, turn on **Badges**. 

 

 

 

### **Push Notifications for Android** 

 

**1. Settings:** From your phone's home screen, open your Settings app.

**2. Notifications:** Tap **Notifications**.

**3. Recent Apps:** Under **Most Recent**, find your Synco app. **NOTE:** if you have not used your app yet, select the dropdown menu and tap All Apps.

**4. Synco App:** Select the Synco App.

**5. Turn Notifications On:** On this screen, you can turn on your push notifications.  For assistance with moving your Synco app to your phone's home screen, please visit our [Synco - Home Screen](https://support.teamsynco.com/adding-the-cake-app-to-your-home-screen?hsLang=en) article.

**6. Badge Notifications:** To enable your Synco Badges, go to **Settings**. Click on **Notifications/Status Bar**. From there, tap **Manage Notifications** and select the Synco app. Select **Show Home Screen Icon Badge**.

 

### **Push Notifications For Web Browser**

 

**Google Chrome: **

**1. Chrome Settings:** Open a new Chrome window and click on Chrome in the top left of your computer. Go to Settings and click on Privacy & Security.

**2. Synco Site Settings:** Click on Site Settings. Navigate to app.teamsynco.com.  

**3. Push Notifications:** Under the Notifications permissions, select Allow from the dropdown options.

**Safari:**

**1. New Safari Window:** Open up a new browser window. Navigate to **Safari** in the top left corner of your screen.

**2. Notifications:** Navigate to the **Websites** tab. Scroll down to Notifications on the left and select it.

**3. Synco Notifications:** Once the list of websites is populated on the right, select Allow for app.teamsynco.com

**Microsoft Edge:**

**1. New Microsoft Browser:** Open a new browser window and Navigate to Settings.

**2. Notifications:** Click on Cookies & Site Permissions and select **Notifications**.

**3. Allow Notifications:** Under Allow, you will see the list of websites that are currently sending notifications. Navigate to Synco and toggle on.

### **Push Notifications for Desktop App**

To receive push notifications for your Synco Desktop app, you must first download the [Synco Desktop App](https://dl.todesktop.com/2408056cqr4jqrq) to your computer.

 

**Windows/PC:** Once the app is downloaded to your Windows desktop, go to your search bar and search for the Synco app. Once selected from the search results, click on **Pin to Start**. This will enable your banner notifications for the Synco app.

**Mac:** For Mac users, notifications will automatically turn on during installation. They can be turned off via your app settings.
