Chats are your quick, one-to-one messaging in Synco. Just like texting, these private discussions are a good option for your everyday discussions.
Chats offer an easy way to communicate with one or more team members. Unlike Threads, which are organized by groups & tags, Chats are designed for direct messaging between users. Similar to texting, Chats don’t require a subject line, though participants can choose to name the conversation if desired. You can access Chats anytime from the Left Hand Navigation.
1. Start New Chat: Click on on the blue New Chat button at the top of your left hand navigation.
2. Select Individuals: Your new Chat window will appear on the right. Click into the "Send to" box to select your team member from the dropdown or begin typing their name to narrow down the list. Once ready, select the person. NOTE: If you have an existing Chat with that person, the existing conversation will populate after you select them.
3. Compose & Send Message: Click into the message box on the bottom and type your message. Once ready, click the blue Send icon in the bottom right.
Chats can be found on Home and the Chats page (via the left hand navigation). To easily access important & frequent chats, use the pinning feature to keep the conversation at the top of your app.
