Message Translation

Translate any message to your preferred language directly within Synco

 

Every team member can now write and see messages in their own language, keeping conversation and collaboration flowing. Synco provides the option to choose from 10 languages based on each user's preference.

 

Setting your language preference in Synco:

  • Navigate to My Profile in your left hand navigation bar.
  • Under Settings, select the pencil icon to update your preferred language.

  • Click the dropdown and select your language.


  • Save your language preference.

After selecting your preferred language, conversations will automatically be translated to that language whenever you press the translate button. If you haven't chosen a preferred language, but you use the translate button during a conversation, the language you select at that moment will automatically become your preferred language.

 

 

Translating conversations in Synco:

  • After selecting your preferred language, click into any conversation in Synco.
  • On the top of any conversation will be a translate button that appears if the conversation is not in your selected language.


  • Click the translate icon to see messages in your preferred language, regardless of the original language written. 
       

  • To view any message in its original language, simply click on the message details and select "View Original". This allows users to see the message in the language it was originally written in.
  • Clicking the translate button again will switch the entire conversation back to its original language.

When a user translates a message or conversation to their preferred language, it does not change the message for any other users in that conversation.
