Locked Conversations

A powerful new way to enhance the privacy of your conversations

Locked-Conversations-Email-Static

Locked conversations is a powerful new feature that gives users the ability to control and restrict access to specific conversations, providing the highest level of privacy, safeguarding personal information and ensuring that the right individuals are involved in critical discussions.

How it works

Conversations on Synco can be locked by the original author at anytime as the conversation progresses. Once a conversation is locked, only the users or groups initially added by the author can participate. If someone else needs to be added to the conversation, the author can easily unlock, add someone, and then lock the conversation again.

Participants will know the conversation is locked from their inbox and thread view. They will also be aware of when the author locked the conversation.

To lock a conversation

  • The author can toggle on "Lock Conversation" while creating the new thread.

  • The author can lock the conversation as it progresses by clicking on the 3 dots (ellipsis) on the top right hand side of the thread and selecting "Lock Conversation".

When to use Locked Conversations in Synco

  1. Property sales and acquisitions: when you're organizing your team around selling or acquiring a property, it's often confidential for a period of time before the whole team knows. Locking conversations about due diligence, lending and mortgage documents, etc. is critical for peace of mind as the process gets going.
  2. Hiring and personnel conversations: PM leaders are often chatting with their HR counterparts for hiring and other people operations issues. Locked, real-time conversations in Synco provide faster resolution and confidentiality.
  3. Any private discussions: For executive level conversations, or strategizing around a company announcement or issue - it's easy to bring a group of people together in Synco but prevent the circle from widening with Locked Conversations.
