Linked Conversations

Stay more organized using Linked Conversations

Now, users have the ability to connect Synco conversations, resulting in the creation of new, more focused conversations that remain linked to the original one. This feature allows any user to branch messages from a Synco conversation into a new one, effortlessly carrying along relevant elements such as attachments and participants. By doing so, users can initiate a more specific discussion that always remains connected to the original conversation.

Linked Conversations offer a way to keep context and details organized based on the topic or issue at hand, without creating never-ending chains that may not be relevant to certain participants. This functionality enables users to involve the right people in a conversation, without overwhelming everyone else who is part of the original discussion.

How it works

Users have the flexibility to create a Linked Conversation directly from a message or handpick specific messages from an existing conversation to initiate a separate but connected discussion. When creating the Linked Conversation, the user has the choice to include any users or groups from the previous conversation, as well as invite others who were not part of the original discussion. Additionally, users can seamlessly incorporate attachments and tags from the initial conversation, guaranteeing that all relevant and essential information is shared in the new Linked Conversation.

  • To create a Linked Conversation from a specific message hover over any message in the conversation, click the ellipsis (three dots) and select "New Conversation from Message".
  • To create a Linked Conversation with multiple messages from a thread simply click the ellipsis at the top right hand side of the conversation and select "Create Linked Conversation".

  • Select the relevant messages you want in the Linked Conversation and hit Next.

  • Add in any of the users/groups from the original conversation, along with any attachments or tags.

  • In the compose message box add in any new users/groups along with any detail or information about the Linked Conversation.

  • When ready to create the Linked Conversation, simply hit the orange send button. The link to the original conversation will always be on the top of the thread.

Note: Only users that have access to both the original conversation and newly Linked Conversation will be able to see and access the link at the top of the thread that connects the two conversations.
