Archive A Group

Synco admins can archive any distribution Group that is no longer needed. These Groups can be archived individually or in bulk.

👥 Archive A Group

1. Navigate to your Groups tab: In your Synco admin, click on Groups on the left hand side.  

 

2. Select Group to Archive: Once you have identified the group you would like to archive, click on the Archive button on the far right column of the Group.

 

3. Archive Group: A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm whether you want to archive the group or retain it in your active list.  Click Archive.

 

 

❌ Bulk Group Deactivation 

1. Navigate to your Groups: In your Synco admin, click on the Groups tab on the left-hand side to begin archiving multiple selections.

2. Select Groups: On the left-hand side, check the boxes to select the Groups that you want to remove from your account.

3. Select Action to Archive: After checking the boxes of the Groups you want to remove, navigate to the Select Action button above the Groups list and then click on Archive.

4. Archive the Groups: A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm whether you want to archive the Groups selected or retain them in your active list.  Click Archive.

FAQ:

Q: Can any team member archive a Group?
A: No. These archive capabilities are specific to your company's admins.

 

Q: Can I retrieve an archived Group?
A: Yes you can! Your Groups will still be available for all users under Archived Groups.  And you can still use the search bar to find archived messages and their content. 

 

Q: Can I use a Group once it's archived?  
A: No, users won't be able to use archived Groups in conversations, and those Groups will be removed from any user's starred contacts.

 

Q: Do archived Groups disappear from my left-hand navigation?
A: There will be a new section called Archived Groups which can be found under My Groups
