Admin Capabilities

Utilize our latest admin features to streamline updates to your Synco setup

Access the admin page exclusively from the desktop (web) application using the navigation bar on the left side of your screen.

NOTE: These new capabilities are specific to account admins.  If you have any questions regarding this or your company's admins, please reach out to your team members or Synco support at support@teamsynco.com

 

 

 

👤 Deactivate A User:

1. Navigate to your User list: In your admin portal, click on the Users tab on the left-hand side. 

2. Select the Individual User: Within your user list, admins can select the person that your team would like to remove from your Synco account.  Once on the Users page, click the Deactivate button to the rightmost column of the user data.

3. Deactivate User: A pop-up window will appear and prompt you to confirm the removal of your former team member.  Click Yes to deactivate the user.

 

Note: All previous messages from this user can still be accessed within those conversations.

 

👥 Archive Group

1. Navigate to your Groups tab: In your Synco admin, click on Groups on the left hand side.  

2. Select Group to Archive: Once you have identified the group you would like to archive, click on the Archive button on the far right column of the Group.

3. Archive Group: A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm whether you want to archive the group or retain it in your active list.  Click Archive.

 

🏷️ Archive Tag

1. Navigate to your Tags: In your Synco admin, click on Tags on the left hand side.  

2. Select Tag to Archive: Once you have identified the Tag you would like to archive, click on the Archive button on the far right column.

3. Archive Tag: A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm whether you want to archive the Tag or retain it in your active list.  Click Archive.

 

❌ Bulk Deactivation 

1. Navigate to your User, Groups, or Tags tab: In your Synco admin, click on the desired tab on the left-hand side to begin archiving multiple selections.

2. Select Users/Groups/Tags: On the left-hand side, check the boxes to select the multiple items that you want to remove from your account.

3. Select Action To Deactivate/Archive: After checking the boxes of those you want to remove, navigate to the Select Action button above the user list and then click on Deactivate or Archive.

4. Deactivate The Users/Groups/Tags: A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm whether you want to archive/deactivate the multiple Users/Groups/Tags selected or retain them in your active list.  Click Archive.


📂 Synco Reports

Synco Users Report

Select Users Tab & Export: In your Synco admin, click on the users tab on the left-hand side to access the user-based report export.  Once on the Users tab, click on Export CSV in the top righthand corner.  The report will automatically download to your desktop.

Synco Groups Report

Select Groups Tab & Export: In your Synco admin, click on the Groups tab on the left-hand side.  Once on the Groups tab, click on Export CSV in the top righthand corner.  You will be prompted to choose between the Group Member Audit and the Group Tab Audit.  Select the appropriate option, and the report will automatically download to your desktop.

Synco Tags Report

Select Groups Tab & Export: In your Synco admin, click on the Tags tab on the left-hand side.  Once on the Tags tab, click on Export CSV in the top righthand corner.  The report will automatically download to your desktop.

FAQ:

Q: Can I retrieve archived tags and groups?

A: Yes you can!  Your tags and groups will still be available for all users under Archived Tags and Archived Groups.  And you can still use the search bar to find archived messages and their content.  

 

Q: If I delete a User, can I still access their messages?

A: Yes, their messages will still be available within the conversations.

 

Q: Can I use a group once it's archived?

A: No, users won't be able to use archived groups in conversations and those groups would be removed from any user's starred contacts. 

 

Q: Do archived groups and tags disappear from my left-hand navigation?

A: There will be a new section called Archived Groups which can be found under My Groups, and a section called Archived Tags which can be found under Tags

 

Q: Who can create Synco Reports out of the system?

A: Only Synco admins can create these reports.  Admins can always modify their company's admin list if they would like to add others to these internal capabilities.
